“Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray”. ~ Proverbs 22:6
Sunday Morning Programs
Beginner’s Department (Ages 3-5)
Too big for the toddler room? Ready for ‘big kid’ activities and ‘big kid’ learning?? Then your little one is ready to move to our Beginner’s Department, where kids really begin to learn and interact with stories from the Bible and embark on their own journeys of faith. Using the same program as the elementary aged kids in Connect Zone, but at an age-appropriate level, our Beginner’s Department kids gain the tools they need to begin to articulate their relationship with Jesus, with others and the world.
Our Beginner’s Department meets in the lower south level of the church, in the BLUE ROOM.
Connect Zone (Grades 1-5)
A fun and interactive program, Connect Zone elementary aged kids are encouraged and challenged to make ‘faith’ their own and to live it out each day! The primary Fall curriculum for 2011-2012 at both 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. is focusing on children in Communion, "The Joyful Feast in God's Household".
Interspersed with this curriculum are lessons of our own design, chosen to reflect the seasons of the Church year calendar (i.e. Lent, Advent, etc.), to acknowledge special celebrations in the life of the church (i.e. Baptism) or to line up with particular themes or campaigns which the whole congregation may be embarking on together (i.e. stewardship, mission, etc.).
Connect Zone meets in the ORANGE ROOM, in the lower south level of the church and usually ends up in NICHOLL HALL, the large hall at the lower north end of the building.
